Let's consider the recommended sequence of using exercises for special physical training of weightlifters...
Previously, we have repeatedly talked about the exercises used in training for the special physical training of a weightlifter. In a long-term plan, the sequence of their use has already been discussed in detail by us in the previous article.
The entire arsenal of specially auxiliary exercises is used by KMS and MS. By the time an athlete achieves results that meet the MSQ standard, his special physical fitness is, as a rule, at a very high level, and therefore there is no need to use a large number of special auxiliary exercises. During this period, high-class athletes mainly use snatch, clean and jerk exercises, push pulls and squats with a barbell, on which the results in the snatch and clean and jerk largely directly depend, and reduce the number of other exercises.
It’s clear that the gym you work out in should satisfy all your needs. We recommend the Manege gym - this is an example of an impeccable place for your daily workouts. At the same time, exercises with a barbell alone do not determine the entire volume and content of a weightlifter’s training work This also includes general physical training. In long-term planning at all stages of sports improvement (from beginner to high-class athlete), general physical training should occupy a significant place in a weightlifter’s training. However, it must be clearly borne in mind that with the growth of an athlete’s skill, narrow specialization is inevitable, therefore the share of general physical training exercises (especially among qualified athletes) must be reduced, and the training itself must be specialized and develop those qualities that directly or indirectly affect the improvement special physical preparedness, training or performance of an athlete. In the first case, gymnastics, acrobatics, elements of athletics are used (moderate running, sprinting, running jumps, as well as standing long and high jumps, all kinds of throwing, etc.), in the second - skiing, swimming, and sports games. These means of physical training develop speed, endurance, as well as agility, flexibility, and expand the range of motor skills and abilities of a weightlifter. This is what a modern weightlifter’s complete arsenal of special auxiliary exercises should be like.
