Belly dancing gives you health

Belly dancing gives you health

This time you are determined to get in shape. But I really don’t want to starve and work until exhaustion in the gym. Then dance! Well, I mean, take up belly dancing or, in common parlance, belly dancing! Surprised? Remember the Asian female beauty standard: thin waist, full breasts, rounded hips. Of course, no one guarantees instant results. Everything will depend entirely on you. But you will definitely get a ton of good mood, vigor and energy!

First things first. Between us girls... The history of oriental dance goes back more than 4000 years. It originally began as a temple dance and birthing technique. Professional temple dancers taught expectant mothers movements and stretches that would facilitate the process of bringing a child into the world. The dance showed the process from start to finish: conception, gestation and, finally, birth.

For most people, belly dancing is a very beautiful and erotic dance. However, few people know that it also helps in solving many specific women's problems. For example, dance classes:

  1. have a beneficial effect on complexion;
  2. help get rid of pain during menstrual periods, which is why many women have to take pills;
  3. after a month, the condition of the spine significantly improves;
  4. after 2–3 months, the flexibility of the joints significantly develops;
  5. improve coordination of movements, the vestibular apparatus, have a beneficial effect on ligaments and the cardiovascular system.

In addition, oriental dance requires even rhythmic breathing, which makes it easy to get out of stressful situations: rhythmic breathing affects the pleasure centers. There is a release of endorphins - joy hormones that improve mood. And most importantly, long-term belly dancing classes correct your figure better than any exercise machine.

For expectant mothers and more...

For those women who do not yet have children, belly dancing is an excellent preparation for childbirth, when the deep muscles of the abdominals and pelvis develop without strong physical activity. It is these muscles that actively “work” during childbirth.

So, it is useful for expectant mothers to know that belly dancing:

  1. teaches you to relax deep muscles (during childbirth, this skill helps reduce pain spasms);

  2. trains the muscles of the perineum (the more elastic these muscles are, the less likely there are ruptures during childbirth);

  3. gives a competent load on the leg muscles (if a woman carries out contractions and part of the pushing vertically, then a colossal load falls on the leg muscles);

  4. has an excellent effect on veins (good prevention of varicose veins, which most pregnant women experience);

  5. trains the muscles of the shoulder girdle, which helps maintain the shape of the chest;

  6. strengthens the back muscles (when the baby grows up and the stomach increases, these muscles bear the main load).

And, importantly, belly dance movements help quickly regain shape after the birth of the baby. After all, a dancing woman has more elastic skin. During pregnancy, it does not stretch to the point of scarring, and after childbirth it quickly returns to normal. And an integral element of belly dancing - shaking - acts as an expensive vibrating massager, so often advertised on TV, which will get rid of the “orange peel” that suddenly appears after childbirth.

Attention: Belly dancing is contraindicated during pregnancy. Although some doctors claim that it is possible to attend training for several months, experienced specialists say unequivocally: NO!

Note for beginners

Before going to exercise, you should consult with an experienced doctor. Naturally, there are not many specialists who would delve into the intricacies of this dance. But you yourself must understand that not every belly dancing teacher is ready to take responsibility for your health. If you have health problems
