Breathing of the spinal (bone) marrow (Part 3)

The next stage of “spinal (bone) marrow breathing” is breathing with the bones of the hands. We will be working with three long bones. Remember that long bones are responsible for the reproduction of red blood cells. The forearm consists of two main bones - the radius and ulna, and the upper arm - from one large humerus.

Before learning the “breathing with the bones of the arms” exercise, it is useful to become familiar with their anatomical features. This will make it easier to create mental images and help you feel your hands.

The task before us is little more complex than controlling the energy flows in the fingers and hands. Compared to the forearms and shoulders, the bones of the fingers and hands do not have as much muscle and fat. Therefore, they are easier to focus on and manipulate energy. The long bones of the arms are surrounded by flesh, which makes it somewhat difficult to perceive the movement of energy within the bone tissue. Therefore, you can start the exercise with your fingertips, then move on to your hands, and only then switch your attention to the radius and ulna.
Look at your hand. Try to feel the ulna and radius bones. “Walk” with your mind’s eye from hand to elbow. Feel the movement of energy (qi). Hold your breath for a few seconds, then exhale and feel the ulna and radius bones begin to expand. Next, mentally watch how the energy from the elbow rises along the humerus.

Once you “feel” the exercise, you will no longer need to mentally monitor the movement of energy. Just give a strong-willed order, and the qi will flow in the right direction.

The practice of hand breathing should be given close attention. As I said before, the more you practice, the more successful you will be moving forward. You'll really appreciate this advice when it comes time to learn how to breathe with your bones.

After some time, you will feel that the bones of your hands are breathing. However, at first the sensations will be different: somewhere you will feel pain, somewhere you will not feel anything; There may be a feeling of loss of energy. It usually occurs where the movement of energy is blocked. In such cases, you need to inhale, hold your breath and focus on the painful or numb areas of the body.
Mentally imagine the bones and, by force of will, force the energy to pass through them. Then continue to breathe through all the bones of your hand. It may take more than one training session to acquire these skills.

Once you have solved this problem and begin to feel the energy moving through the bones, try to avoid it penetrating into the bones of the skull. If this happens, “drain” the energy through the functional channel to the navel.

I would like to note one more important point. There is an unusual amount of tension in the bones, and bone marrow breathing is an excellent way to relieve tension. Many years ago, while learning the science of bone breathing, I was simply amazed at the relaxing effect of this exercise. The way the bones in my hand relaxed was perhaps the most powerful sensation I had ever experienced. It was amazing and truly unforgettable.

1. Stand in the “tree hugging” position (or another position that is comfortable for you).
2. Start breathing from the fingers of your left hand.
3. Breathe through all the bones of your left hand.
4. Hold your breath for a few seconds and feel the energy spreading through your hand.
5. Turn your attention back to your fingertips. As you inhale, draw the energy through your fingers into the hands, wrists, radius, and ulna of your left arm. Help the movement of energy with your inner vision. Raise the flow of energy up to your elbow and lower it down for 30 seconds. As you exhale, the energy descends down the forearm and out of the fingers through the hand.
6. Repeat the exercise with your right arm for at least 30 seconds.
7. Relax your right hand and, as you inhale, direct the energy from your fingers to the elbow and further along the humerus. Mentally accompany the movement of energy. As you exhale, the energy moves down your arm and out of your fingers. Breathe with your left hand for at least 30 seconds.
8. Repeat the exercise with your right hand.
9. Repeat the exercise, breathing with both hands for at least 30 seconds.
