How to drink and what to snack on?

The golden rule of increasing degrees is actually a myth. The strength of drinks can be alternated arbitrarily (although this is undesirable, so as not to confuse the body, which is adjusting to a certain degree). The main thing is to clearly know your norm and not mix alcohols. It is the need to process different alcohols at the same time that causes severe intoxication and hangover.

In small doses, any mixture of alcohols will be digested. But, if you are counting on a long pleasant feast, make sure that the drinks are of the same type. Five types of alcohols are used in the production of alcohol: grain (vodka, whiskey, beer), grape (wine, cognac, brandy, rakia, chacha), berry (slivovitz, cherry), fruit (apple wines, Calvados) and rectified alcohols (some varieties of vodka).

It is also harmful to mix carbonated drinks with strong drinks. Sparkling wines stimulate the absorption of strong alcohol, which leads to rapid and severe intoxication. A mixture of caffeine and alcohol is even more dangerous, so you can also forget about the combination of energy drinks and alcohol. A cocktail of alcohol and an energy drink can lead to seizures and kidney failure. The simultaneous use of alcohol and medications is life-threatening.

As for combinations, it is best to serve seafood, pasta, white meat dishes, not very sweet desserts without chocolate, fruits, biscuits and berries with champagne. Prohibited: very salty, spicy or too sweet foods and dark chocolate. White wine is combined with fruits, cheeses, low-fat seafood and poultry, and red wine with meat dishes. Pickles, marinades and spices are not suitable for wine. They are traditionally used to snack on vodka. In addition, the following are suitable for “fire water”: cold meat snacks, fatty meats, meat and flour, spicy fish dishes and soups.

Also, fatty meat, game and pickles go well with beer (under no circumstances mix different types of foamy drink). Gin is diluted with juice and eaten with lemon, olives or pickled onions. And cognac is served with coffee, tea, orange and lemon juice, plus syrups.
