**Vitamin B4 (choline)**
Choline is one of the B vitamins. It is also called vitamin B4 or acyl coenzyme B. It is a fat-soluble vitamin-like compound that is necessary for normal metabolism in the body. In nature, choline is found in dairy products, liver, egg yolk and vegetable oils. Vitamin B4 is also formed from the breakdown of another B vitamin, B12. It is also involved in cellular metabolism and protects the nervous system from the harmful effects of various substances such as alcohol and drugs. Choline deficiency can lead to various nervous system disorders.
