Arm wrestling expander to strengthen the hand and forearm

There are several types of such hand exercises designed to develop muscle strength in the arms. The main types are known to everyone, this is the good old version of the “Ring” type and a metal rod rolled into a spring, often with load adjustment, and even an electronic repetition counter. There are also more original designs now available.

One of these modifications is an arm wrestling expander for strengthening the hand and forearm, or, as it is also called, an elbow expander. This type of sports equipment appeared in Russia quite recently, however, armwrestlers, weightlifters, and athletes of other strength disciplines who regularly lift weights, build muscle mass and take vitamins for bodybuilding have already highly appreciated its design advantages. Its distinctive feature from ordinary springs or rubber rings is that the key load here falls not on the palm and fingers, but on the flexor and supinator muscles of the hand, and in an alternative position of the simulator - respectively, on their antagonists: extensors and pronators - depending from gripping the handle. To do this, the device is specially fixed in the elbow, which allows you to transfer the main load from the palm to the muscle bundles of the forearm, which are responsible for flexion and extension of the joint.

The dimensions of such an arm wrestling projectile are slightly larger than traditional wrist ones, however, they are not comparable to block systems for hands or even a barbell. Like all alternative types of wrist exercises, the elbow expander increases endurance due to a large number of repetitions with a small load and has a generally healing effect on the entire body. And due to its modest size, it allows you to do short five-minute workouts at any time convenient for you and almost anywhere.
