Mineral fasting

Mineral fasting (i. mineralis) is a type of fasting in which a person consumes only water and mineral supplements.

During mineral fasting, the body receives a minimum of calories, but at the same time is provided with the necessary amount of minerals, trace elements and vitamins. This avoids the deficiency of important nutrients that is possible with normal water fasting.

Mineral fasting is carried out for 3 to 14 days. The diet includes mineral water, vitamin and mineral complexes, salts (potassium chloride, sodium chloride, etc.). Sometimes herbal decoctions are also taken.

The purpose of mineral fasting is to cleanse and heal the body while maintaining the level of minerals and vitamins. It can be used for weight loss, improving skin condition, normalizing blood pressure, lowering cholesterol and blood glucose levels.

Indications and contraindications for mineral fasting should be determined by a doctor. If you follow the recommendations and exit from fasting correctly, it is well tolerated and has a positive healing effect.
