Is it possible to go to the solarium before training?

At the Titanium fitness club, after a workout you can always visit the solarium.

The solarium at the Titanium fitness club will provide a quick and intense tan (due to the design and location of the lamps), the procedure lasts from 3-15 minutes. Moreover, a solarium will help cope with fatigue caused by a lack of sunlight, when daylight hours are short, increases vitality and lifts your mood. The solarium helps to achieve not only a beautiful, uniform skin tone, but also dries the skin a little, helping to cleanse it. You can prepare for the beach season or maintain beautiful skin color all year round.
Our specialists will help you choose products for an even and safe tan.

The desired effect of a solarium is tanning. Tanning is the body’s reaction to the increased demands of ultraviolet radiation on the body. Any increased demands cause fatigue in the body. Fatigue before training is not advisable!
Bottom line: If you're looking to use a tanning bed for a pre-workout boost, you'll have a hard time achieving an improved tan. If the dose is sufficient to improve the tan, it will reduce the effectiveness of training.
It is recommended to go to the solarium after low- to moderate-intensity workouts. During physical activity, the level of oxygen in the blood increases, which means your tan will be more intense. The muscles of the body and face warm up during tanning, which helps them relax and unwind after training. It is strongly recommended not to visit the sauna, massage, and solarium on the same day, and even after a workout, it is too much for the body. It's better to choose one thing.

The frequency and duration of tanning always depends on your skin type. Therefore, by determining your skin type, you will not harm yourself.

Based on the four main skin types, the time and intensity of tanning is selected

  1. Celtic type - very light, pink-white skin, light brown or red hair. People with this type of skin tan poorly, and they are the ones most prone to burns.
  2. European light-skinned type - light skin, brown hair, or brunettes with white skin. Representatives of this type tan slowly, the desired shade is acquired after many sessions.
  3. European type with dark skin - typical for brunettes and dark brown people with brown skin. They tan quickly enough, and the risk of burns is minimal for them.
  4. Mediterranean type - these include the lucky owners of brown skin and dark hair. People of this type tan instantly and without burns.

For beginners or those who have not sunbathed for a long time, it is recommended to start with a minimum number of minutes.
For those with fair skin, you need to start tanning from 5-6 minutes, gradually increasing this time. If your skin is dark tanned, you can start with a 10-minute session, gradually increasing the time to 20 minutes.
If the tan in the solarium goes well, then 5 sessions will be enough to achieve a golden hue; if not, then you will need at least 10. It is recommended to sunbathe once every 2 days, and to maintain the color, once every 2-3 weeks.

Before tanning, it is necessary to cleanse the skin of cosmetics, since products applied to the skin can interfere with normal tanning. Don't forget to remove all jewelry and decorations. You should not take a shower before or immediately after visiting the solarium, so that the skin is not deprived of natural protection.

Solarium glasses

This is necessary to protect the eyes from ultraviolet radiation, which can cause burns to the retina. Simply closing your eyes is not enough; ultraviolet radiation penetrates even through closed eyelids. There is also a stikini for the eyes, an alternative to glasses.

To protect hair in solarium

The club provides disposable caps. By wearing it, you protect your hair from the influence of UV rays, which makes it dull and brittle.

It is important to protect your breasts in a tanning salon

To protect the breasts, special stikinis are created that are glued to the nipples. They are quite inexpensive. You can also use protective lipstick for tanning beds. This lipstick is very convenient to use and can carefully cover up moles, tattoos and age spots.

Question:Is it possible to visit a solarium before training?

Answer:

In the first minutes of tanning in a solarium, metabolic processes are activated, hematopoiesis, tissue nutrition and general condition are improved. Of course, this effect of the solarium will have a positive effect on the upcoming workout.

But, if you exceed your individual dose, excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays can lead to burns, cardiovascular and nervous disorders, and exacerbation of chronic inflammatory processes

It is clear that a person goes to a solarium because he feels well. Of course, not one normal person would make himself feel painful using a solarium. But there is a limit beyond which the solarium effect occurs.

The desired effect of a solarium is tanning. Tanning is the body’s reaction to the increased demands of ultraviolet radiation on the body. Any increased demands cause fatigue in the body. Fatigue before training is not advisable!

Conclusion. If you want to use a tanning bed to boost your energy level before a workout, you will find it difficult to achieve an improved tan. If the dose is sufficient to improve the tan, it will reduce the effectiveness of training.

I recommend that my clients go to the solarium after low- to moderate-intensity workouts.

Solarium: all the pros and cons

Experts in the field of beauty and health say that visits to the solarium are not just a way to maintain a beautiful tan all year round and the aesthetic component is not the only advantage. First of all, the benefit of a solarium is that it is an excellent way to combat stress during the cold season, when the body lacks heat and sun.

When regularly visiting a solarium, a person’s immunity is strengthened and resistance to colds is noted. A solarium is a preparation for the new season and an effective prevention of skin burns before a trip to the sea. Exposure to scattered ultraviolet radiation promotes the production of vitamin D, which is involved in metabolic processes. The presence of the vitamin in the body is especially important for people who regularly exercise, because this component is indispensable for the complete absorption of phosphorus and calcium.

Despite the undoubted advantages of a solarium, there are some disadvantages. We are talking about contraindications, which the doctor will tell everyone about personally - you should definitely consult with him before your first visit to the solarium. And of course, in any case, learn how to sunbathe properly in a solarium so as not to harm your body. And to maintain your tan for a long time, choose the appropriate home care, and a beautiful skin tone for a long time is guaranteed.

Questions for the trainer: when is it better to visit the solarium before or after training?

There is no definite answer; each case must be analyzed separately. First, you need to decide what purpose a person goes to a solarium for - just to tone the body or to get a lasting tan?

• A short stay in the cabin invigorates: metabolic processes are stimulated, blood flow improves, skin and muscles are toned. This state can be called ideal for starting a workout, but you need to be aware: you shouldn’t count on a strong tan.

• If the priority goal of a combined visit to the solarium and training is tanning, then you should be aware of the fact that the effect manifests itself with sufficiently powerful exposure to ultraviolet radiation, to which the body reacts with natural fatigue. No qualified specialist will approve of training a person who is obviously tired.

Hence the conclusion: to tone the body, you can spend literally a few minutes in the solarium immediately before training; to get a beautiful tan, sunbathe after low- and medium-intensity exercise.
