Scientists from the American Emory University have proven that garlic is one of the most effective preventive and therapeutic agents for the cardiovascular system. Diallyl trisulfide, which is part of garlic, can protect heart tissue from damage, but if it is damaged, it can speed up recovery after a heart attack.
Experts conducted experiments on mice. The rodents were given a simulated heart attack, and then half of them were injected with diallyl trisulfide. It was then concluded that in mice treated with this substance, the hearts showed 61% less damage than in the rest.
Scientists also note that for diseases of the cardiovascular system, it is necessary to include onions, apples, crackers, apricots or dried apricots in the diet.
