Nutritionists have named the most effective and healthy diet

Swedish experts at Umeå University and specialists from Cambridge believe that the “Paleolithic diet” is the most effective way of eating.

Scientists, based on their observations, claim that overweight women after this diet lost twice as many kilograms, unlike adherents of the “Scandinavian diet”. In addition, as The Telegraph quotes scientists, ladies after the “Paleological Diet” experienced a greater decrease in waist size.

The strangest diets in the world

The experts back up their claims with the results of a study that involved 70 postmenopausal women. The experimental condition was that volunteers received 30% of their energy from protein. However, not everyone was able to comply with the required diet. Many compensated for the lack of energy with carbohydrates and additional servings of fruits and vegetables. This way no one felt hungry.

As a result, the “Paleolithic Diet” allowed participants to say goodbye to an average of 6.2 kilograms of fat and reduce their waist size by 11 centimeters. And the ladies who got hooked on the “Scandinavian diet” lost 2.6 kilograms and 5.8 centimeters, respectively. In addition, the blood of women from the first group had reduced levels of triglycerides (fats).

The essence of the “Paleolithic diet” is eating berries, vegetables, chicken, excluding bread, rice, pasta and dairy products from the diet. And the menu of the “Scandinavian diet” consists of whole grains, low-fat dairy products, fruits, legumes, fish and vegetable oils.

Nutritionists are confident that the “Paleolithic diet” not only showed more significant results, but is also safer for the body, in contrast to a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet. This may be why men experienced fewer heart attacks and strokes after a couple of weeks on the Paleolithic Diet.
