Indications: terminal (final) stage of kidney failure during hemodialysis - purification of the patient’s blood using an “artificial kidney”.

The purpose of diet No. 7G is to provide balanced nutrition, taking into account the metabolic characteristics of severe kidney failure and the side effects of hemodialysis.

General characteristics of diet No. 7G: moderate restriction of proteins (mainly vegetable) and potassium, sharp restriction of sodium chloride and a significant decrease in free fluid. A diet of normal calorie content from fats and carbohydrates. Food is prepared without salt, bread is salt-free. In the absence of hypertension and edema, give the patient 2-3 g of sodium chloride. Limit potassium-rich foods. A sufficient supply of essential amino acids is provided by meat, fish, eggs and, to a limited extent, dairy products. Culinary processing without mechanical sparing: meat and fish are boiled. The taste of dishes is improved with sauces, spices, and citric acid. The food temperature is normal.

  1. Carbohydrates - 400-450 g (100 g sugar and honey)
  2. Proteins - 60 g (75% animal)
  3. Fats - 100-110 g (30% vegetable)

Recommended and excluded foods and dishes:

  1. Soups: up to 250 g vegetarian with various vegetables, borscht, beetroot soup, cabbage soup, fruit soup. They are limited to cereals, except sago, and dairy products. Excludes: meat, fish, mushroom broths.

  2. Bread and flour products: salt-free wheat and rye bread - 150-200 g. Excludes: other types of bread and flour products.

  3. Meat, poultry, fish: up to 100 g gross lean varieties of beef, veal, rabbit, chicken, turkey, fish. Boiled, followed by baking or frying, sliced ​​and chopped. Excludes: sausages, salted fish, smoked meats, canned food, caviar.

  4. Dairy products: limited, on average 140 g of milk, 140 g of sour cream, 25 g of cottage cheese per day. Allow 200 g of sour cream from milk. Excludes: cheese.

  5. Eggs: 2-3 pieces per day, soft-boiled, omelettes and for preparing other dishes.

  6. Cereals: limited, sago and rice (pilaf with fruit, casseroles) are preferred, less often side dishes. Excludes: legumes.

  7. Vegetables: average gross 300 g of potatoes and 400 g of vegetables (white cabbage, carrots, beets, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, green onions, dill, parsley). In the form of various dishes and side dishes. Exclude: legumes, pickled, pickled, pickled vegetables, mushrooms, rhubarb, spinach, sorrel.

  8. Appetizers: vegetable and fruit salads, vinaigrettes. Exclude: salty and spicy.
