Diets for weight loss: practical recommendations

In recent years, interest in diets has rapidly increased, and has even become a phenomenon that reflects a special philosophy of rational nutrition.

More recently, the science of nutrition has been an application to other medical disciplines. But currently it has taken one of the leading places among the ways to build a healthy lifestyle. Even the attitude towards this science - dietetics - has now changed dramatically among women, initially in relation to figure indicators, and secondarily in relation to the diet itself. However, even today the science of “dietology” still lacks a certain reliability. Many nutritionists still often disagree in their opinions about some specific foods.

A diet is a special eating regimen that is used for some time to achieve a specific goal. Before starting a diet for weight loss, a special food diet is selected, which strictly takes into account the quantity, energy value, and culinary processing of products. Today there are many subtypes of diets - therapeutic, health-improving, as well as cleansing diets and so-called “beauty diets”. But the largest group of diets is weight loss diets. Quite often, new methods for losing weight appear, and sometimes they can be very different or even completely contradict each other. How can you choose exactly the right diet, and at the same time achieve the desired goal, without harming your own health? Here's the answer: there are no right or wrong diets. The most important rule is that a person must find his own diet, which will best suit his body, for example, consisting only of his favorite foods.

Diet groups for weight loss:

  1. These are so-called low-calorie diets - they involve reducing the calorie content of food

  2. As well as low-fat diets - in which fat consumption is reduced, but there are no prohibitions on the total calorie content of food

  3. This group also includes low-carbohydrate diets - they involve a reduction in carbohydrate foods, but without strict restrictions in other respects

  4. Next, mono-diets - only one product should predominate here. For example - kefir, apples, cottage cheese, watermelons, potatoes and many others. But you should not get carried away with this kind of diet because it is fraught with depletion of the body in the content of micro- and macroelements

  5. Then there are protein diets - they are based only on protein animal products: meat, fish, and so on. It is also not recommended to use these diets for a long time, as there may be a lack of vitamins that are present in plant foods

  6. And, of course, fat diets - they imply the complete exclusion of carbohydrates from your diet, and you should only consume fats they, in turn, are absorbed quite quickly and give a boost of energy.
