Let’s say “no” to chronic fatigue!
Surely, after a hard day of work and chores around the house, you have probably felt like a real “squeezed lemon”. The worst thing is if you constantly feel tired and exhausted... This article is for those who know first-hand what chronic fatigue syndrome is, as well as for those who want to prevent the occurrence of this far from comic phenomenon.
A modern woman manages to do everything: cook food, clean the house, drop off and pick up her child from kindergarten, buy groceries, be a professional in her field and move up her career ladder... And how you just want to play with your child, read books to him without fidgeting from the thought that there was a suspicious smell of burning coming from the kitchen?!
How nice it is, when meeting a loved one, not to hastily kiss him on the ear, thinking about tomorrow’s report, but to spend the evening together in peace and quiet... A modern woman needs to do everything, and at the same time maintain a flying gait, a cheerful mood and a whole bouquet by the end of the day fantasies and passion for your loved one! What to do if it seems like something is broken inside? For some reason, I don’t have the strength to do ordinary things, I give up, and I lose interest in everything in the world. I just want to sit all day, mindlessly click on links on the Internet or buttons on the TV remote control, or, even better, just sleep... Maybe it’s old age? In a sense, yes! After all, old age is tiredness of oneself, and it can appear at any age. But this “old age” can be banished for a long time. Who knows? Maybe forever!
Symptoms and causes
The symptoms are familiar to many: fatigue, forgetfulness, nervousness, fatigue and drowsiness in the early morning, and in the evening a state of autopilot and night insomnia.
Here, out of nowhere, thrush, herpes, changes in blood pressure, frequent colds and other “charms”!
There are countless reasons for this condition:
- insufficient or restless sleep,
- accumulated stress,
- overwork,
- banal vitamin deficiency and unhealthy diet,
- taking certain medications (for example, antiallergic drugs),
- almost any disease that occurs both acutely (even the common cold) and in a latent form.
A single cause may go unnoticed for a long time, but several causes combined can turn life into a heavy burden.
Sometimes serious health problems lie at the root of all problems:
- endocrine diseases (diseases of the thyroid gland, adrenal glands);
- diseases of the cardiovascular system and blood (atherosclerosis, hypertension and hypotension, anemia);
- infectious diseases (tuberculosis, chlamydia, chronic viral infections, etc.), helminthic infestations;
- tumor diseases of the brain;
- diseases of the nervous system and various functional disorders (vegetative-vascular dystonia, neuroses, depression);
- obesity.
Disease or functional disorder?
Fortunately, more often we are not talking about a terrible disease, but about a functional disorder.
Imagine that your computer's operating system has crashed. All the parts are in place, the electronics are working properly, but the problem is in the software. All you have to do is reinstall the program - and everything is fine! This usually happens in the body. Almost all of the above reasons ultimately lead to disruption of the blood supply to the brain and peripheral nervous system.
Brain cells begin to choke, and you yawn diligently, sigh sadly, and all interests, ambitions and needs are compressed into one thing - to sleep. As soon as you “breathe” properly, get the blood flowing through your vessels (for example, by stretching or taking a cool shower), your head becomes clearer and you feel cheerful.
But sometimes this is not enough. As a result of impaired metabolism, the cells of our body, although they do not suffer from poor blood circulation, still starve. They lack nutrients, energy, vitamins and microelements for normal functioning.
