Pasta: cooking rules and recipes
Pasta is one of the most popular trending foods in the world. They can be prepared quickly and easily, and most importantly - for every taste and budget. However, to make pasta tasty and appetizing, you need to follow several cooking rules.
To cook pasta, you need to choose a capacious, tall pan with thick walls and a bottom, as well as a colander - comfortable and, if possible, with two handles. For every 100 g of pasta, take 1 liter of water and 10-12 g of coarse salt, which should be added when the water has already boiled; do not add it at the end of cooking. The pasta should be lowered into the center of the pan, where the boil is strongest, and stirred from time to time. To prevent the pasta from sticking together during cooking, you can add a teaspoon of olive oil to the water. The cooking time for thin pasta is 5 minutes, and for thick pasta it is 7-10 minutes. If you cook them not in water, but in broth, then the cooking time increases. During cooking, it is better not to move far from the stove and a minute before the end of the cooking process, taste whether the pasta is ready. Some housewives, afraid of overcooking them, do the following: after removing the pan from the fire, they immediately add a small ladle of cold water to it to immediately stop boiling (but no more than a ladle, otherwise the pasta will cool down). It is recommended to serve them only hot and never cook them in advance. Do not drain all the pasta water into the sink; reserve 1-2 tablespoons for dressing.
