Montignac diet. Basic principles

The Montignac diet was developed by French physician and nutritionist Pierre Dukan. It is based on the division of foods into useful and harmful for weight loss.

Basic principles of the Montignac diet:

The Montignac diet limits foods high in carbohydrates, especially simple sugars. Completely excluded: sugar, confectionery, white flour products, potatoes.

It is recommended to consume lean meat, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs, and low-fat dairy products. Protein foods create a feeling of fullness and speed up metabolism.

The diet includes healthy fats - olive, flaxseed, sesame oils, avocado, nuts. They compensate for the deficiency of fats while limiting carbohydrates.

It is allowed to eat vegetables, except potatoes, carrots, and beets. Leafy green vegetables, tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini are especially recommended.

Meals are divided into several small portions to maintain a high metabolism. 4-5 meals per day are recommended.

It is necessary to drink at least 1.5-2 liters of clean water per day to remove toxins from the body. Sugary carbonated drinks are excluded.

Following these principles in combination with moderate physical activity will help you lose weight and normalize your weight. The main thing is to make the right choice of products!
