Balanced diet

A balanced diet is not a diet in the traditional sense of the word, but it is an excellent way to lead a healthy lifestyle. By eating a balanced diet, you achieve a lifetime of beauty, health and well-being. To do this, you just need to adjust your usual diet so as to satisfy all the needs of the body. If you want to lose weight, reduce the caloric content of your food. If you want to maintain weight, try to find a balance between your body's needs and the amount of calories you consume to keep it functioning properly.

Food should make you happy. Always try to decorate dishes attractively, set the table beautifully, always eat while sitting, without books or TV. The amount of food will seem large if you divide it into small pieces.

Enjoy food without feeling guilty. Dinner with friends or relatives is one of the joys of life. Never skip a meal. Don't force yourself to eat if you're not hungry. Learn to serve yourself smaller portions.

Daily menu for a balanced diet

A good breakfast should include: a hot drink (unsweetened), whole grain bread, some butter, a hard-boiled egg; yogurt, fruit juice, “healthy sweets” (for example, a teaspoon of honey or jam).

A balanced diet should contain an element from each group:

  1. Fruits and vegetables
  2. Bread and bakery products
  3. Fish, meat, eggs
  4. Dairy

Fruits are rich in vitamins and... sugar! Choose citrus fruits, apples, watermelons, strawberries, rather than sweet fruits and berries - such as cherries, plums or bananas.

Consume starchy foods (bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes) in limited quantities. Try eating them without any additional sauces. Eat healthy snacks, natural yogurt, raw vegetables or low-fat grains.

Dishes you can eat in any quantity: white meat (skinless poultry), fish, shellfish, low-fat dairy, greens, raw carrots. Discover the delicious flavors of spices by adding them to every dish: ginger, curry powder, pepper, cumin, dill, basil, chives, tarragon, parsley...

Balanced diet. What drink?

You should drink eight glasses of water every day, even during meals. When on a diet, avoid or minimize the amount of alcohol, coffee and tea you consume.
