What kind of water to drink? That is the question...

The formula of water is H2O. This is probably all I remember from school chemistry lessons. The phrase also came to mind: “The human body is 60% water.” This is more biology than chemistry. But without water, life on Earth and a healthy lifestyle are impossible. Therefore, it is worth understanding what “water” is and how to consume it.

In fact, drinking water during meals is not recommended as it interferes with digestion. It is better to drink 30-40 minutes before meals and at any time between meals. But immediately after eating it is better to refrain from drinking for at least an hour.

They say that it is in vain that we replace water with juices, coffee and tea. These drinks do not quench your thirst; on the contrary, they are diuretic and lead to dehydration. Therefore, if you really drink, then only water. The question is - how much? Experts have different opinions: some recommend 2-3 liters per day, others - 2-3 glasses. But everyone agrees that dehydration is dangerous and leads to health problems.

The easiest way to determine whether your body has enough water is to pinch the skin on your arm. If it smoothes out slowly, the cells lack moisture. If it's fast, there's enough water. The main guideline is a feeling of comfort.

But what if you want to drink tap water? Alas, even after boiling it remains dangerous - it contains bacteria, viruses, and heavy metal salts. It is better to use filters, although they do not solve all problems and require regular replacement.

“Folk” methods such as the silver spoon are also unsafe. Water from outdoor pump rooms can also be contaminated.

A good option is bottled water, but in moderation of mineralization (up to 1 g of salt per liter) and with an expiration date. Medicinal table water and medicinal water with a high salt content are prescribed by a doctor.

So, filtered or slightly mineralized bottled water is best. And for health, it is important to drink when you feel thirsty and with a positive attitude!
