Dr. Mitchell's diet: fat-burning soup and diet
If you are looking for a quick and effective way to lose weight, then Dr. Mitchell's diet may be a great choice for you. According to Dr. Mitchell himself, following this diet, you can lose up to 5-7 kg in one week.
The basis of the diet is a special fat-burning soup, which must be prepared from vegetables. The soup recipe is not complicated, but it does require some time and effort. You will need: 1 celery root (about 200 g), 1/2 kg carrots, 1/2 kg green beans, 6 large onions, 2 green bell peppers, 1 medium cabbage fork, 1.3 liters of tomato juice, 800 g fresh or canned tomatoes, pureed or in their own juice, 800 g of low-fat beef broth.
Vegetables should be finely chopped and poured with broth. The liquid should completely cover the vegetables, so add water if necessary. Bring the soup to a boil and cook for 10 minutes over high heat, then simmer over low heat until the vegetables are tender. There is acid in the liquid, so the cooking process is quite long - everything together takes about 25-30 minutes. Add the greens at the end. You can add salt and pepper, but the soup is already quite spicy.
The diet on the Mitchell diet consists of 7 days. You should eat as much of this soup as possible throughout the week. The more you eat it, the more weight you lose. However, in addition to soup, there are other foods that are allowed on this diet.
The first day is fruit day. You can eat any fruit except bananas, and of course soup. Drink unsweetened tea, cranberry juice and water.
The second day is the day of vegetables. You can eat as many vegetables as possible, except dried peas, beans and corn. Green leafy vegetables such as lettuce and spinach are especially good. Eat everything with soup. For dinner, you can eat a large baked potato with vegetable oil. Don't eat fruit.
The third day is the day of fruits and vegetables. You can eat as much soup, fruits and vegetables as you want, except baked potatoes.
The fourth day is banana day. You can eat up to three bananas and drink skim milk. If you cannot tolerate milk, replace it with 500 g of low-fat cottage cheese or yoghurt. Eat all this with soup.
The fifth day is beef day. You can eat up to 280-350 g of beef and drink 6-8 glasses of water. It is especially good to cook meat on the grill or in a frying pan without oil. Eat all this with soup.
The sixth day is chicken day. You can eat up to 280-350 g of chicken meat, baked or grilled, and drink 6-8 glasses of water. Eat all this with soup.
The seventh day is the day of rice. You can eat up to 2 cups of cooked rice, vegetables and 6-8 glasses of water. Eat all this with soup.
It is important to note that on the Mitchell diet you need to drink a lot of water - at least 6-8 glasses a day. In addition, it is not recommended to add oil or other fats to soup or other dishes, or to drink alcohol.
