Swedish diet: menu

Sweden is a paradise for those with a sweet tooth. They say that the Swedes manage to sweeten even herring and bean paste. Not surprisingly, local nutritionists have their work cut out for them. The popular Swedish diet “Happy Week” is designed for 7 days and is aimed at normalizing metabolism, which promotes weight loss.

The emphasis should be on buckwheat, milk, potatoes, fruits and vegetables, and less attention should be paid to eggs, fish and meat. Meat or chicken can be replaced with fish or meatballs of the same weight. The diet can be applied for several weeks in a row. It guarantees slow but stable weight loss.

Day 1. Breakfast: a glass of milk and buckwheat porridge with water. Lunch: 100 grams of cheese, salad of peppers with tomatoes and onions, a cup of warm milk instead of tea. Dinner: 3 potatoes, 200 grams of boiled beets with sour cream, a slice of bread.

Day 2. Breakfast: a glass of milk and buckwheat porridge with water. Lunch: 250 grams of boiled fish, 2 potatoes, green leaf salad with vegetable oil. Dinner: 200 grams of cabbage salad with onions, herbs and vegetable oil, 1-2 hard-boiled eggs, a glass of milk.

Day 3. Breakfast: a glass of milk, 60 grams of cheese, a slice of bread. Lunch: 250 grams of fried chicken fillet, 100 grams of raw vegetable salad, a glass of apple juice. Dinner: 150 grams of mashed potatoes, 80 grams of cheese, a slice of bread and a glass of milk.

Day 4. Breakfast: a glass of apple juice, 2 pieces of bread. Lunch: 100 grams of buckwheat porridge, a small piece of boiled meat, 150-200 grams of apples or oranges. Dinner: 100 grams of rice, 150 grams of tomato and onion salad dressed with vegetable oil, a glass of milk.

Day 5. Breakfast: a glass of yogurt and one orange. Lunch: meat cutlet with 100 grams of boiled potatoes, a cup of tea. Dinner: 150 grams of strawberries or oranges, an additional 200 grams of any fruit, a glass of apple juice.

Day 6. Breakfast: a glass of milk and 200 grams of buckwheat porridge with water. Lunch: 150 grams of boiled potatoes, 150 grams of boiled meat, apple, orange. Dinner: 200 grams of boiled rice, 200 grams of cabbage salad with cucumbers, green bell peppers and onions, dressed with oil.

Day 7. Breakfast: a glass of milk and 150 grams of boiled rice. Lunch: 200 grams of boiled or fried fish, 100 grams of boiled potatoes, an apple, an orange and a glass of orange juice. Dinner: a small chop, a salad of raw vegetables, a piece of black bread, an apple and a glass of apple juice.
