Detox menu: seven-day nutrition program

Detox is a diet that cleanses the body of toxins, waste and other harmful substances. Read our material about what foods you can eat during a seven-day detox.

The detox menu is becoming increasingly popular among the fair sex, as it helps not only to lose weight, but also to cleanse the body: which means improving the condition of the skin and hair, reducing cellulite deposits, and simply improving health. There is no need to specially prepare the body for detox - just set aside seven days and follow a special diet.

In addition to harmful substances, detox programs also remove beneficial substances from the body, so you should not get too carried away with them. It is enough to carry out 2 cleansing programs per year.

The best time for a detox program is the beginning of autumn or the beginning of spring. Experts say that during this period it is not difficult for the body to tolerate changes in diet. Also, it is worth considering that detox is best carried out during vacation, or during a quiet work schedule: if you are very tired at work, you should not force your body with low-calorie nutrition.

DETOX MENU

Every morning, after you wake up, drink a glass of warm water. This rule is the same for every day of the cleansing menu. You can start breakfast in 15-20 minutes.

If your goal is not only to cleanse the body, but also to lose weight, add grated ginger (half a teaspoon) and a little lemon juice to the water.

First day

On the first day of the cleansing program, you can only drink. Yes, yes, your diet can include teas, water and juices. It is advisable to drink 4 glasses of juice on this day. It is important that the juice is squeezed in front of you: it can be orange, apple, pineapple, pear or grapefruit juice.

There are no restrictions on the amount of liquid you drink. However, if you are prone to edema, then make sure that the total amount does not go beyond the 2 liter mark.

Second day

On the second day, in addition to teas, fruit juices and water, you need to add fruit to your diet. These could be peaches, melons or plums. Choose the ones you love more than others. The only thing is that you can’t eat bananas and grapes.

The third day

Next, vegetables are added to the existing diet (teas, fruits, juices, water). On this day you can eat fresh vegetables raw or steam them. It is recommended to choose high fiber vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, asparagus, celery and green leafy vegetables.

Fourth day

On the fourth day, proteins are added to the diet. You can eat lean meats (chicken, turkey), fish, eggs or tofu. Steam, bake or boil them. Avoid using oil or adding unnecessary seasonings.

Fifth day

On the fifth day of the detox program, cereals and grains are added to the diet. You can eat oatmeal, quinoa, buckwheat, brown rice or whole grain bread. Avoid adding butter, sugar or salt.

Sixth day

On the sixth day, low-fat dairy products are added to the diet. You can eat yogurt, cottage cheese, kefir or skim milk. Avoid added sugar or syrups.

Seventh day

On the last day of the detox, you can return to your normal diet, but try to maintain the healthy habits you acquired during the cleanse program.

It is important to remember that it is best to consult with a doctor or nutritionist before starting a detox program, especially if you have any medical problems or dietary restrictions.
